About Dr. Baig
Mirza Baig, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at NeuroCare Partners, serving patients in The Woodlands, Texas.
Dr. Baig graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He received a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Doctrine of Medicine from Howard University in Washington, DC. He then completed his residency with the Department of Neurological Surgery at Ohio State University (OSU) and was named chief resident the following year. During that time, he served as an instructor for the Department of Neurological Surgery at OSU. Afterward, Dr. Baig practiced neurosurgery at Mercy Medical Center and was an instructor at Des Moines University’s Department of Neurosurgery. He is currently practicing throughout the area of Houston, specializing in spine and brain surgery and treatment.
He is active in research and many of his findings have been published throughout his career. Dr. Baig has authored 26 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and given over 17 oral and poster presentations at National and International Conferences of Neurosurgical Societies and Associations.
Dr. Baig is currently affiliated with several hospitals in Texas, including Conroe Regional Medical Center, Kingwood Medical Center, Memorial Hermann, and Houston Northwest Medical Center.
